Epic Seven Reroll and Selective Summon

Rerolling in Epic Seven is not a guest-account loop anymore. After you clear stage 1-4, Selective Summon unlocks and you can roll until you like the screenshot. Each attempt pays one 5-star hero or 5-star artifact, plus two 4-star heroes and two 4-star artifacts. You may record one result. Later rolls replace the saved set only if you choose them. There is no hidden 30-pull cap on the modern Selective. That is the whole mechanic. Finish getting started hygiene (bind later, not first) and sit on this screen until the 5-star is a unit you will actually skill.

You still should not spend an evening here. The 8th anniversary pays 20 Covenant summons a day from 27 August through 29 October 2026. Every hour you spend chasing a perfect 4-star pair is an hour you are not claiming those pulls, Connections, and Hunt unlocks. Get a keeper 5-star, take a usable 4-star if it appears, confirm, bind, move on.

What to keep

Iseria (Earth Ranger) is the top PvE keep. Defense break on a basic, a unique ally skill-cooldown reset on S2, and an S3 that strips buffs then defense-breaks and unbuffable. She covers Hunt support, Abyss, expeditions, and most story walls. If Iseria shows, record it. You can keep rolling for Magaraha’s Tome, Aurius, or Tagahel’s Ancient Book beside her, but do not throw Iseria away for a prettier DPS.

Other acceptable 5-stars if Iseria never appears:

• Tamarinne (Fire Soul Weaver) — the PvE engine. Attack buff, CR push, cleanse. If a ticket event or free 10-pull hands her to you before Selective, you already won; Selective can then chase Iseria or an artifact.
• Destina (Earth Soul Weaver) — cleanser and PvP heal. Fine if you care about Arena later. Worse than Iseria for the first month of PvE.
• Bellona — AoE farmer and a later Abyss option. Not as universal as Iseria.
• Vildred — farm thief. Nice, not mandatory; Moonlight Blessing can loan Arbiter Vildred for the same job.

Moonlight 5-stars can appear on rare Selective luck. Most of them are keep-the-account rolls because Galaxy pity is slow. If you do not recognize the name, screenshot it and check the PvE tier list before you confirm. A few ML5s are traps. Rarity is not a build order.

What not to chase

Do not reroll for Sigret. She is a Hunt queen and the game gives her to you through Hunt missions / expert Hunt later. Spending Selective on a unit you will obtain for free is how people brick a start. Alexa is also a Connection unit. Furious is a Connection unit. Angelica is a Connection unit. Selective is for the unit Connections will not hand you — usually Iseria.

Do not confirm a 5-star artifact as your only yellow if the heroes in that set are filler. Artifacts are replaceable through Covenant wishlist and Hunt drops. Iseria is not. If the 5-star is Song of Stars and the 4-stars include Iseria, that is a different conversation — Song of Stars is the Ranger artifact you want on Furious and Iseria in Hunt. Still prefer a 5-star Iseria over a 5-star artifact with no engine unit.

Skip chasing Rose, Achates, or a specific 4-star forever. They are nice. They are not worth 40 extra Selective screens while daily Covenant summons expire.

How to actually roll

1. Clear 1-4 on a fresh character.
2. Open Selective Summon. Roll.
3. If the 5-star is Iseria (or Tamarinne / Destina if you already decided those are your floor), tap Record.
4. Optional: keep rolling while the recorded set sits in the compare slot. You are hunting a better 4-star pair or a 5-star artifact, not gambling the Iseria away.
5. Confirm the recorded set. Then bind email / SNS / STOVE. Binding before you confirm is how people lock a Mercedes-only start they meant to throw away.
6. If you truly hate the account after Connections, Settings still has Reset Server. That is a last resort, not the 2026 default. Resetting during the anniversary deletes progress toward the 1,260 free summons and the Festival of Shining Moments selectors.

Guest accounts can Selective. They cannot safely redeem codes or keep the anniversary login. Bind as soon as you confirm, not before.

After you confirm

Selective is not your Hunt team. Open Connections and collect Furious, Alexa, and Angelica (or Montmorancy → Angelic Montmorancy). Those four names — Furious, Sigret (free later), Muwi (Covenant 4-star, keep copies), Angelica / A.Mont — are the Ice core on the hunt guide. Iseria sits next to them as the Earth strip / reset that Abyss and expeditions ask for.

Set the seven-hero Covenant wishlist the same day. Pity is 121 with no 50/50; the 2026 wishlist of seven heroes and seven artifacts is what the anniversary 20-pulls actually feed. Details are on summons and pity. If you confirmed Destina instead of Iseria, put Iseria on that wishlist immediately.

Do not spend the first Gold Transmit Stones on a random pickup banner unless it is a limited you have already decided to pity. Uncharted Pioneer Politis (pickup from 3 September 2026) is a later question. Selective is a PvE engine question.

Time budget

A disciplined reroll is 15–40 minutes. You should see Iseria more than once if you are willing to tap through a few dozen attempts; the 5-star pool is large, but infinite attempts remove the old “accept Mercedes” panic. Stop when:

• You recorded Iseria, or
• You recorded Tamarinne / Destina and you are bored, or
• A Moonlight 5-star you verified as usable showed up.

Then leave this page. The starter heroes list tells you who to level with the penguins you are about to grow in Sanctuary. Hunt is the next energy sink, not another Selective screenshot.

If you started during a 5-star ticket event, use the ticket on Tamarinne if she is in the pool, then Selective for Iseria. Two engines beat one pretty limited. If the ticket is a “fully decked” unit (max skill, max awaken), spend it on someone who actually eats MolaGora — Tamarinne, Iseria — not on a unit whose kit is already cheap.

Every extra Selective roll after a recorded Iseria costs real calendar time, and during 27 August–29 October 2026 that calendar time is 20 Covenant summons you cannot catch up. Confirm the keeper, bind the STOVE ID, redeem coupons, and go grow penguins. The account that starts Hunt on day one with Iseria in the box beats the account that is still comparing 4-star artifacts at midnight.
