Uncharted Pioneer Politis in Epic Seven

Uncharted Pioneer Politis is the 8th anniversary Drop Rate Up hero, not a mailbox unit and not the original Earth Mage Politis who has been in Covenant for years. Smilegate’s INFINITY showcase introduced her at the moment she first lands on Orbis in the 1st World, chasing the destruction of her home planet. The live banner starts 3 September 2026. If your bookmarks are empty, skip this page and farm Hunt. If you are about to pity, read the placement rules first.

Classic Politis is a control Mage: dolls that stun, Starfall that applies Unable to be Buffed, extra turn on soulburn. Fribbels still shows Hit / Destruction builds around 150 Speed. Uncharted Pioneer Politis is a different unit. The showcase gimmick is row placement. Put her in the front and the kit leans offense. Put her in the back and the kit leans defense. Skill text on the live client always beats a wiki paragraph written the week before the banner. Confirm the tooltips after maintenance on 3 September, then decide whether she is a Hunt luxury or a PvP experiment.

How to get her

Drop Rate Up (Covenant pickup) from 3 September 2026. Pity is still 121 with no 50/50 — the featured 5-star is the only 5-star on that banner. Wishlist does not apply to a featured pickup. Do not dump the 1,260 anniversary Covenant summons into her banner if your wishlist is empty and you still lack a Hunt core. Those daily pulls belong on Covenant, not on a scholar you will not gear this month.

She is not Mystic. Lisette is the Mystic Soul Weaver. Mixing the two banners is how accounts brick both.

Placement is the whole kit

Super Creative billed her as a pioneer whose assigned role changes based on where she stands.

• Front row — offensive role. Skill effects shift toward damage, extra hits, or a more aggressive follow-up. Use this when you already have a soul weaver and a tank, and you need another body that actually kills.
• Back row — defensive role. Skill effects shift toward protection, disruption, or a safer opener. Use this when the team already has a carry and you need a flexible fourth slot.

That is the opposite of classic Politis, who did one job (strip / unbuffable) regardless of slot. If a guide tells you to copy an old Politis Speed tune onto Uncharted Pioneer, close it. Speed still matters — see speed tuning — but the first decision is row, not boots.

What to build first

Until live numbers settle, treat her like any new 5-star: do not six-skill her on day one. Clear the banner, park her at 50/5 if you are unsure, and spend molas on the Hunt Ice core instead. If the live kit is a PvP opener, she wants Speed and Effectiveness, not Destruction. If the live kit is a bruiser, she wants bulk in the back row. Artifact choice waits on the tooltip: Song of Stars is the default PvP guess, Daydream Joker is the Hunt guess, and both can be wrong.

The PvE tier list and PvP tier list will move her after a week of Fribbels exports. Until then, a snapshot is marketing, not a build.

Banner hygiene

1. Finish getting started and one Wyvern clear.
2. Fill Covenant wishlist. Keep daily anniversary summons off this pickup.
3. Pity only if the live kit solves a hole you already have (no opener, no backline disruptor).
4. Do not Galaxy-summon for her. She is Covenant.
5. Compare her job to Lisette before you split mystic medals and bookmarks in the same week.

Paradise Lost is story context, not a farm requirement. You can pull her without clearing the side episode. You cannot gear her without Hunt.

Classic Politis versus Uncharted Pioneer

If you already own original Politis, keep her. She still applies Unable to be Buffed and still stuns. Uncharted Pioneer does not replace that kit; she is a new name with a new gimmick. Imprints do not transfer. Artifacts do not auto-equip. Treat them as cousins who refuse to share a closet.
