Perfumer Byblis is the Fire 5-star Soul Weaver released in 2026 as a limited banner unit. She is summoned through the limited collaboration-style banner, not the standard Covenant pool. Her kit is built around two ideas: she grants team-wide barriers that prevent damage instead of healing it after the fact, and she manipulates Combat Readiness to push her team ahead of the enemy cycle. Guild War reviewers at the e7 YouTube creator NightE7 called her a “busted unit” on release because the barrier + CR push combination is a hard counter to burst cleave drafts in 4v4. She also appears on the PvP tier list as a Guild War anchor and is discussed alongside Tamarinne as the second soul-weaver slot in most 2026 stall compositions.

Her S3 generates substantial barriers that block incoming damage rather than healing it post-hit, which is the difference between a soul weaver that lets your team survive round 1 of a cleave (Tamarinne) and a soul weaver that lets your team ignore round 1 of a cleave (Byblis). S3 — barrier ultimate

Grants team-wide barriers that block incoming damage. The barrier scales with Byblis’s max HP and defense, making her a HP/Defense soul weaver rather than the Speed/Attack spread other soul weavers chase. Soulburn reduces the cost; skill-ups raise the barrier value.

This is the kill condition for stall. A maxed Byblis can drop barriers that absorb the full damage of a turn-1 cleave opener. Pair her with Ruele of Light or Fallen Cecilia and the enemy team runs out of burst before your team runs out of HP.

S2 — Combat Readiness push

Single-target or AoE CR push that accelerates her team’s cycle. Skill-ups raise the CR push bonus. Used offensively, it lets your team cycle a soul-weaver ultimate twice in three rounds. Used defensively, it pulls a teammate out of the danger zone before the enemy cleave lands.

The CR push is what makes her a tempo engine. Stall defense wants to out-cycle the enemy; Byblis adds a guaranteed +15 % CR to the team on a short cooldown.

S1 — basic attack with sustain

Single-target heal that scales with max HP. Skill-ups raise the heal value. Used as filler during barrier cooldowns; not the reason to build her.

Stat priority

Byblis is a barrier / HP-scaling soul weaver. The stat priority is HP%, Defense%, Speed, Effect Resistance.

• HP%: target 16,000–20,000 effective HP. The barrier scales with HP, so more HP = bigger barriers.
• Defense%: target 1,000–1,200. The barrier also scales with Defense.
• Speed: target 180–200. Faster than the enemy soul weaver means your barriers land before the enemy cleave.
• Effect Resistance: target 100% if the enemy runs dispel-heavy drafts. Barrier is a buff — it can be stripped.

Artifacts: Rod of Amaryllis for the HP-scaling barrier boost. Potion Vial for heavy debuff GW drafts. Magical for Friends is a luxury CR push pick. Slotting notes live on hero artifacts.

Skill-ups

S3 first — the barrier ultimate is the kit. +6 minimum for the barrier value spike. S2 next — the CR push bonus scales with skill-ups. S1 last — the basic heal is filler.

Team fit

Byblis fits GW defense, Arena stall, and select Hell Raid compositions. The 2026 templates:

• Arena stall: Byblis + Remnant Violet + Angelica + DPS. Barrier + counter tank + soul weaver.
• Hell Raid stall: Byblis + Tamarinne + DPS + DPS. Double-Fire dual-attack + barrier + heal.

She is not a Hunt unit, not an Abyss carry, not a Moonlight priority over Salome for PvE. For GW stall defense she is on the short list.

Counters to Perfumer Byblis

Byblis is strong but not uncounterable.

• Dispel — the barrier is a buff. A stripper (Basar, Landy, Seaside Bellona) before the cleave lands removes the barrier and the cleave goes through.
• Skill nullifier — locking her S3 prevents the barrier from going up. The enemy burst lands without mitigation.
• Extinction — a Briar Witch Iseria passive shuts down the revive chain Byblis stalls around. She does not have revive herself, but the stall roster is built on revival.

What not to do

• Do not put Daydream Joker on Byblis. It is a Hunt artifact. She is a soul weaver.
• Do not build Attack on her. Barriers scale with HP and Defense.
• Do not use her in Hunt 13. She is not a Hunt soul weaver. The Hunt core wants Tamarinne.
• Do not skip S3 molas. S3 is the barrier kit.
