Epic Seven Tamarinne Hero Build

Tamarinne is the Fire 5-star Soul Weaver that the game hands you through Connections. She is not a banner unit. She is not a Selective keep. She is the unit you get for clearing the Connections quests, and she has been the PvE engine since 2019 because her S3 — Idol Mode — does three jobs at once: full team heal, full team cleanse, and attack buff.

If you skipped Connections, go back to getting started and pick her up. Every PvE mode benefits from a skilled Tamarinne: Hunt, Abyss, Expeditions, Hell Raid, Automaton Tower. The tier list calls her SS-tier in PvE for a reason.

Why Tamarinne is still meta in 2026

The 8th anniversary and the New Era update added new soul weavers (Lisette on Mystic, new specialty Montmorancy buffs, several limited soul weavers). None of them replaced Tamarinne in PvE because:

• Idol Mode combines heal, cleanse, and attack buff in one button. Most soul weavers do one of these well. Tamarinne does all three on one cast.
• The heal scales with max HP and is unconditional. No debuff required, no element matchup, no boss mechanic.
• The cleanse is team-wide. Single-target debuffs that would kill your DPS (Unhealable, Attack Down) disappear on S3 cast.
• The attack buff persists after the cast ends. S3 lasts 2 turns and the attack buff continues until the buff is dispelled or the unit dies.

Tamarinne is the one soul weaver you skill before any other. S3 first. S2 next. S1 last.

Idol Mode (S3)

Tamarinne’s signature skill. Activates Idol Mode for 2 turns:

• Heals all allies proportional to her max HP (about 30% of max HP at base skill level).
• Dispels all debuffs from all allies. Full team cleanse.
• Grants all allies increased Attack for 2 turns.
• Tamarinne cannot use skills other than basic attacks during Idol Mode. She is silenced to herself.

The silencing is the trade-off. While Idol Mode is active, Tamarinne is a stat stick. She heals and buffs on cast, then waits. The buff duration is long enough that her silence does not matter — the cast happens once, the team benefits for two full turns.

Idol Mode also forces a CR push at activation (about 15% CR for all allies, scaling with skill-ups). That is why Hunt teams with Tamarinne cycle faster than Hunt teams without her.

S2 — Encore

Encore grants a CR push and attack buff to one ally. It is the first skill you should cast in a Hunt or Abyss fight, before the team has been debuffed. Save S3 for the moment your DPS needs the heal-cleanse-buff combo.

Encore also resets one ally’s skill cooldown by 1 turn on a critical hit. Skill-ups raise the reset chance. At max skill-ups, Encore is the cleanest CR push in the game.

S1 — Trot

Trot is a basic attack. Soul weavers do not need S1 investment — the basic attack is filler for the silence turns during Idol Mode.

Build jobs

Tamarinne is a soul weaver. The stat priority is Speed and HP. Effect resistance if she needs to live through a strip. Defense % if your team is light on tanks.

• Speed: target 180–200 for Hunt, 200+ for PvE modes that require faster cycle.
• HP: target 13,000–15,000 minimum. The heal scales with HP, so more HP = bigger heals.
• Effect resistance: target 100% if the team relies on her to survive strip.
• Defense %: a soft fourth stat. Most builds ignore it.

Artifacts: Rod of Amaryllis (heal scaling) is the soul weaver staple. Potion Vial for heavy debuff fights. Magical for Friends for CR push (a luxury pick on Tamarinne).

Skill-ups

S3 first — Idol Mode is the reason you picked her. S2 next — Encore’s CR push scales with skill-ups. S1 last — the basic attack is filler.

If you have limited MolaGora, dump it on S3 until it is +6 minimum. The cleanse and heal scaling on S3 justifies the entire molas budget.

Team fit

Tamarinne fits every PvE team that wants sustain and an attack buff. The common 2026 teams:

• Wyvern core: Furious + Sigret + Muwi + Tamarinne. The 8th anniversary Hunt team.
• Abyss breaker: Iseria + Tamarinne + DPS + DPS. Standard Abyss clear pattern.
• Expedition 5: Tamarinne + Fallen Cecilia + Specter Tenebria + flex.
• Hell Raid Advent: Tamarinne + Fallen Cecilia + Specter Tenebria + Achates.

She is not a PvP pick. Arena and RTA prefer faster soul weavers with cleanse or immunity (Angelica, Destina, Achates). Tamarinne’s silence-during-Idol-Mode is a PvP liability. Keep her on the PvE side.

Connections priority

Tamarinne’s Connections quests are not optional. The 5-star form unlocks when you finish her questline and specialty change. The specialty change is not the same as the original Tamarinne — it is a different unit, Idol Tamarinne, who trades the soul-weaver tag for a fire-damage dealer tag. The base Tamarinne remains the soul weaver. Do not specialty-change her unless you want both versions.

If you specialty change her, you keep the base Tamarinne in the journal. The specialty version is a separate unit with a different role.

What not to do

• Do not park Tamarinne on the bench. Skill her even if you have Lisette. The two are different units — Lisette is the rewind PvP soul weaver; Tamarinne is the heal-cleanse-buff PvE engine.
• Do not put Daydream Joker on her. It is a Hunt artifact for DPS, not a soul weaver artifact.
• Do not put Aurius on her. Aurius is a Knight artifact. Use Rod of Amaryllis.
• Do not use her S3 twice in a row. The silence means she cannot S1 during Idol Mode. Two S3 casts in a row means two turns of silence without the team benefiting from a heal-cleanse-buff.
