Epic Seven World Boss and Raids

Weekly raid boss, single-fight damage numbers, fire-power teams, and the guild currency that buys bookmarks.

Epic Seven World Boss

World Boss is the weekly raid-style encounter in Epic Seven. Each guild enters the boss, every member dumps damage over the weekend, and the guild is rewarded based on total contribution thresholds. World Boss is not Hunt, not PvP, and not story. It is a single high-HP boss whose only mechanic that matters is how much raw damage your strongest fire-power team can land in the time limit. Hunt is what feeds the account; World Boss is what lets the guild convert that account power into Skystones, bookmarks, and a few equipment charms.

If you skipped getting started and Hunt, this is not where you start. World Boss damage scales with the gear score of your carry, not the luck of your last banner pull. New accounts contribute the first 1 million damage with a leveled-up 5-star and still collect the contribution chest. That is enough. The carry meta only matters once your guild is pushing the top 30% bracket.

Schedule and contribution

World Boss opens Friday 03:00 UTC and closes Monday 02:59 UTC. The boss changes weekly; the STOVE community post lists the active element, immunity, and the mechanic that wipes sloppy teams. The fight resets if the guild fails before Monday, so most guilds treat it as a Friday-evening dump, a Saturday refill, and a Sunday cleanup.

Each player gets a finite number of entries (usually 3–5 depending on guild level). You use them, you collect damage points, the guild total decides the reward tier. You do not need to top the guild leaderboard. You need to clear your entries and let the carries go higher.

Element and weakness

The boss rotates element weekly. Bring the opposing element for the standard 30% damage bonus. Most fire-power teams are Light or Dark because those two elements hit both defenses equally; on a Fire-weak boss, a Fire team deals more damage but the units tend to be squishier.

If the boss has a mechanic shield — usually a single-target invuln period — bring a defense break, a dispel, or a strip. If it has counter-attack patterns, do not stack four glass cannons in a row; one Knight buffers the rest. The kits that work in Hunt are not the same kits that work in World Boss because Hunt punishes Ice weakness while World Boss punishes the wrong elemental matchup.

Carry teams (fire power)

The carry meta moves every patch, but the unit classes that scale with World Boss damage do not:

  • Self-attack-buffing carries — units whose S3 scales on Attack or max Health and whose passives grant bonus damage when the boss is alone. Recent anniversary carries include Specter Tenebria, Luna (with her specialty), and Arbiter Vildred (when fire-weak is off the table).
  • Crit-capped single-target nukers — units that ignore defense, deal bonus damage to bosses, or both. Daydream Joker still works on World Boss if the boss has high HP, but it is rarely the best artifact because the boss is one target, not a Hunt pair.
  • Extinction nukers — if the boss revives adds, extinction ends the loop. Hecate, Briar Witch Iseria, and Sinful Angelica are the same names that counter Lisette in PvP. They also trivialize add-spawn bosses.

A common 4-unit World Boss team is two carries, one CR pusher (to feed the opener extra turns), and one soul weaver (to keep the carries alive across the time limit). Defensive utility is welcome; do not bring a dedicated tank. World Boss does not have adds long enough to need one.

Defensive units and healing

A single soul weaver with team-wide heal and a CR push is enough. Tamarinne (fire soul weaver) is the common pick; Destina is the slow alternative; Angelica fills in for accounts that pulled her on Connections. If your soul weaver is the same unit as your Hunt healer, you are not doing anything wrong — the Hunt guide and the World Boss carry team can share a Tamarinne.

If the boss applies heavy debuffs (Unhealable, Attack Down, Defense Down), the soul weaver needs a cleanse. Potion Vial or Cleanser artifact on the soul weaver slot is the cheap fix; if the boss is more aggressive, swap to Achates or another dedicated cleanser.

What not to do

  • Do not use all your entries in the first 30 minutes. World Boss damage thresholds are easier to hit when other guild members have softened the boss. Wait for the boss HP bar to drop below 80% before you push your carry.
  • Do not bring four carries. One dies and the rest of the team folds without a soul weaver. Two carries, one pusher, one healer is the standard.
  • Do not burn Skystones on World Boss refreshes. The refresh cost is high. Use your entries, leave the boss alone, and come back next week.
  • Do not gear a unit only for World Boss. A Hunt-ready Sigret is already a World Boss-ready nuke. Re-gearing for a 1-week window is how Hunt gear falls behind.

Rewards and guild currency

World Boss ranks the guild into a reward tier at the end of the weekend. Each tier pays:

  • Skystones (the rare currency — never spend these on World Boss refreshes).
  • Mystic Medals (rare summon currency).
  • Equipment charms for gear upgrades.
  • Bookmark fragments that combine into Covenant Bookmarks.

Guild currency you earn from other guild content (Guild Wars, Sanctuary donations, etc.) buys permanent upgrades inside the guild shop. The Guild War guide covers the PvP side; World Boss is the PvE counterpart that lets the guild level up.

If you came here from a friend who said “carry me on World Boss,” go back and clear Hunt first. The carries that top the leaderboard are the same units that one-shot Wyvern. Gear feeds damage, damage feeds guild reward tiers, guild reward tiers feed the account.

For PvE systems, read:

  • Hunt — where World Boss gear is farmed.
  • Expeditions — the side-mode that awards gear charms.
  • Abyss — the PvE skill check that veterans use to test carry readiness.

For PvP systems, read:

World Boss is the simplest mode in the game once Hunt is automatic. Do not let the weekly cycle trick you into thinking it is more complicated than it is. Set a Saturday alarm, dump entries on your strongest team, and let the guild reward arrive in the mail.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers Heirs search for every patch.

When is Epic Seven World Boss open?

From Friday 03:00 UTC to Monday 02:59 UTC weekly. The boss element and mechanic rotate weekly; STOVE community posts the details on Friday morning.

How many World Boss entries do I get?

Usually 3 to 5 entries per weekend, depending on guild level. Use them across Friday to Sunday.

Should I burn Skystones to refresh World Boss entries?

No. Use the entries you have. Refresh costs are higher than the marginal reward.

What is the best World Boss team?

Two single-target carries, one CR pusher, one soul weaver (often Tamarinne). Match the opposing element for the 30% bonus.

Do World Boss rewards feed guild currency?

Yes — Skystones, Mystic Medals, charms, and bookmark fragments based on guild tier. Guild upgrades are a separate shop; see the Guild War guide.
