Epic Seven Haru

Limited CZN collab Mage — anchor-weapon attacker, buff strip, and CR cycle partner to Mei Lin and Lenoa.

Haru Hero Kit

Haru is the limited Mage from the Epic Seven x Chaos Zero Nightmare collaboration, available during the September 2026 collab window alongside Mei Lin (limited Soul Weaver) and Lenoa (free Moonlight Ranger). He is an anchor-weapon attacker in the Chaos Zero Nightmare roster — his identity revolves around sustained damage, buff stripping, and Combat Readiness manipulation. He is not a one-shot cleaver. Where Haru sits in the collab

The Chaos Zero Nightmare collab brings three agents as playable Epic Seven heroes:

HeroAcquisitionRole
LenoaFree Moonlight (event track)Ranger — CR push, buff strip, execute
HaruLimited SummonMage — anchor-weapon DPS, buff strip
Mei LinLimited SummonSoul Weaver — support, immunity, CR boost

Both Haru and Mei Lin require limited banner pity — their banners run in parallel with the free Lenoa track. The two limited banners are the real bookmark cost of this collab.

Kit direction

Based on CZN source material and Epic Seven’s adaptation of the collab units, Haru’s role in Epic Seven is:

  • Anchor-weapon DPS: sustained damage dealer, not a burst opener. In CZN he wields a polearm-style weapon; in Epic Seven that translates to a Mage who applies pressure over multiple turns rather than one big nuke.
  • Buff strip: a core part of his kit strips buffs from enemies, making him effective against immunity-buffer teams and soul-weaver stall.
  • CR cycle partner: his kit has elements that interact with Combat Readiness — either pushing his own CR forward or slowing the enemy’s CR cycle. That makes him a natural partner for Mei Lin’s support kit and Lenoa’s CR mechanics.

Final in-game skill numbers are published when the September 2026 patch lands.

Build direction

Haru is a Mage DPS in Epic Seven. The stat priority follows the standard Mage template:

  • Speed: target 200–240 for consistent turn cycling. Faster openers can go higher.
  • Attack %: high base Attack scales with his sustained damage output.
  • Crit rate: standard 65–70% for reliable S1 and S3 damage.
  • Crit damage %: complements the sustained damage profile.

Artifacts: Tagahel’s Ancient Book for the soul generation that lines up with his S3 cast. A damage-oriented artifact (Dolorosa or similar) if you are running him as a secondary DPS. The hero artifacts page has slotting priorities.

Collab synergy

Haru, Mei Lin, and Lenoa are designed as a team. Their kits complement each other:

  • Lenoa strips buffs and executes with a CR multiplier.
  • Haru applies sustained damage and strips residual buffs after Lenoa’s execute.
  • Mei Lin provides immunity, CR boosts, and support utility to keep the team cycling.

If you are pulling both limited banners, consider building a team around all three. The synergy is intentional — Smilegate designed the CZN roster as a coordinated unit.

Skill-ups

S3 first — the ultimate is the damage condition and usually the skill with the most impactful upgrades. S2 next — the passive or secondary skill is where the CR manipulation and strip mechanics live. S1 last — the basic attack filler.

MolaGora budget: S3 to +6 minimum. S2 to +3 for the secondary mechanics.

Counters

  • Briar Witch Iseria or other extinction units — if Haru is built as a sustained DPS, his revive potential (if any) is shut down by extinction.
  • High Effect Resistance targets — his buff strip can be resisted, making him less effective against tanky Immunity sets.
  • Dispel before he casts S3 — strip his attack buff before his ultimate lands.

What not to do

  • Do not put Daydream Joker on Haru. It is a Hunt artifact. He is a Mage.
  • Do not compare him to Frieren. Frieren is a stall Mage with start-of-battle soul acceleration. Haru is an anchor-weapon DPS with sustained damage and strip.
  • Do not skip Lenoa’s free track to pull Haru. Lenoa is free and account-defining. Haru costs limited pity.

Haru is the CZN limited Mage from the September 2026 collab. The CZN collab page has the full event brief. Lenoa is the free Moonlight Ranger from the same collab. Mei Lin is the limited Soul Weaver. Frieren is a separate collaboration 5-star Mage. The PvP tier list shows where collab units rank after the first week of replays. Summons and pity covers limited banner math.
