Smilegate launched the Epic Seven Summer 2026 update on 25 June 2026, delivering one of the most generous seasonal content drops in the game’s history. The headline is Eye of the Abyss Fumyr, a limited Summer 2026 Earth Mage whose S3 Detains — temporarily removes — the foremost enemy Hero from the battlefield with no resistance check. Alongside her banner ran the Epic Dash campaign, the A Secret Summer side story set on the Aelo Coast, and a Premium Moonlight Summon track that handed out up to 100 free Moonlight Hero summons through daily logins. What actually shipped

The Summer 2026 client update included:

Epic Seven Summer 2026 Update Preview

Eye of the Abyss Fumyr

Fumyr is a limited Summer 2026 Earth Mage available through 16 July 2026. Her defining mechanic is Detain — S3 temporarily removes the foremost enemy Hero from the battlefield entirely, with no Effect Resistance check. Detained units return after the duration ends at the same HP and CR they had before removal.

She is not a damage dealer. She is a tempo engine that buys cycling advantage by deleting the enemy opener for a turn. Full kit and build notes sit on the Fumyr hero page.

Epic Dash campaign

The Epic Dash event ran from 25 June through 27 August 2026 — one of the longest seasonal campaigns in Epic Seven history.

Mission Pass structure:

• Daily missions: complete battles, use summons, enhance equipment.
• Weekly missions: clear Hunt stages, win Arena matches, use bookmarks.
• Mission Pass ranks up and unlocks reward tiers.

Top-tier rewards:

• Fully built 5★ Hero Selector.
• 5★ Limited Hero Selector (for limited-time heroes).
• Standard 5★ Hero Selector.
• Summon currencies.
• Equipment Sets.
• Progression materials.

Lucky Dash: random Equipment and Charms drops.

Epic Dash Buff: powerful in-game bonuses that ran throughout the campaign.

Do not confuse Epic Dash with the anniversary campaign that started 27 August. The two events overlapped at the edges but had separate reward tracks and different entry points.

A Secret Summer side story

The Special Side Story Show Me What Lies Within ran until 6 August 2026. It is set on the Aelo Coast and follows Fumyr as she investigates the Shadow Elves’ sovran Harsetti. The story features Birgitta and her assistant Aube.

The side story included a territory-capture arcade mini-game that rewards high-quality illustrations and various in-game items. Story energy is separate from Hunt energy — you can clear the episode without pausing Otherworldly farming.

Aube appears as a named NPC in the summer story. She is not a summonable hero in the standard pool — she is a story character.

Premium Moonlight Summon track

The Premium Moonlight Summon event ran alongside Epic Dash, granting up to 100 free Moonlight Hero summons through daily logins.

• 100 summons: 5★ Dark Elemental Hero Summon Ticket after reaching 100 summons.
• 20 summons: 5★ Light Elemental Hero Summon Ticket after completing 20 summons.

These tickets allowed targeted summoning of Light or Dark elemental heroes — the rarest elements in the regular pool.

Bookmark math for the summer window

The summer window overlapped with the tail of the pre-anniversary season. A practical priority order:

1. Claim Epic Dash daily rewards — the Mission Pass is free and the selectors are account-defining.
2. Pull Fumyr’s limited banner only if you play PvP disruption. She is not a Hunt unit.
3. Do not spend regular bookmarks on Epic Dash — the event is about the free track, not a bookmark sink.
4. Save for the anniversary (27 August 2026) — the 1,260 free Covenant summons and Lisette’s Mystic banner changed the entire economy.

The summer track pays out passively if you log in daily. The anniversary track pays out if you fill the wishlist and do not miss login days.

What this update is not

This is not the 8th anniversary client. The anniversary INFINITY update shipped 27 August 2026 with Paradise Lost, Lisette, Call of Chaos, and Background Battling. The summer update predates it by two months.

The summer update does not include Dimensional Exploration (the permanent roguelike) or the Chaos Zero Nightmare collab — those were September 2026 events.

Fumyr is a limited summer hero. She is not in the standard rotation. If you missed the 16 July deadline, she is behind Mystic Summons.
